Detailed Itinerary:
DAY 01:   ARRIVAL IN KATHMANDU ( 1,324 Meter)
Arrival at Tribhbuban International airport, meet welcome and transfer to hotel. Evening briefing about
Nepal – Tibet Motorbike trip. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel.

DAY 02:   VISA APPLICATION & FREE DAY
Apply for the visa and free day for personal activities. Overnight stay at hotel.

DAY 03:  TEST RIDE AROUND KATHMANDU VALLEY
Breakfast, receive Motorbike and proceed for test ride to visit UNESCO World Heritage sites covering Boudhnath Stupa, Pashupatinath Temple, Soyambhunath Stupa and Bhaktapur Durbar Square. Return to hotel and free for the preparation for Nepal – Tibet Motorbike Tour program. Overnight stay at hotel.

DAY 04:  RIDE TO SYABRUBESI (2,380 Meter/ 140 Km/ 6 hours’ drive)

Breakfast and start Ride to Syabrubesi via Shivapuri or Galchhi. Arrive Syabrubesi and overnight stay at guesthouse.

DAY 04:  RIDE FROM SYABRUBESI TO KYIRONG TOWN (2700 m/24 km/1 hr drive)
Breakfast and start Ride from Syabrubesi to Kyirong  . Arrive Kyirung and overnight stay at hotel.

DAY 05:  RIDE TO TINGRI VIA PAIKUTSO LAKE AND MT SHISHAPANGMA (4300m/270km/8 hrs)
Breakfast and start Ride to Shegar( Tingri) via Paikucho lake and Shishapangma Mountain. Overnight stay at hotel.

DAY 06: RIDE SHEGAR ( TINGRI)  TO TASHIZOM (5200m, 50 km/3 hrs)
Breakfast and  ride from  Shegar ( Tingri )  to Tashiom  and DRIVE ECO BUS TO RONGPUK AND EXCURSION EBC (80 km/2 hours/2 way). Overnight stay at Tashizom (5200 m).

DAY 07: RIDE TASHIZOM TO SHIGATSE (3850 meter. 300 km, 8 hrs ride).

Breakfast and start Ride to Shigatse. Enjoy the different beautiful Tibetan villages and different mountains on the way. Finally arrive Shigatse after approx. 8 hours ride. Overnight stay at hotel.

DAY 08 : RIDE SHIGATSE TO LHASA (3850 m, 150 km 3 hrs)
Breakfast and start Ride to Lhasa, Enjoy the different beautiful Tibetan villages and different mountains on the way. Finally arrive Lhasa after approx. 3 hours ride. Overnight stay at hotel.

DAY 09: SIGHTSEEING TOUR OF LHASA; JOKHANG TEMPLE & BHARKOR STREET, POTALA PALACE
Breakfast and proceed for sightseeing Tour of Lhasa covering Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple & Bharkor Street. Rest of the day free to explore your own. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel.

DAY 10: FREE DAY IN LHASA
Today you are free to explore around the city by your own . Overnight stay at hotel.  

DAY 11:  RIDE TO SHIGATSE VIA YAMDROK LAKE & KAROLA PASS AND GYATSE  (3850m/360km/8hrs)
Breakfast and Ride to Shigatse  via Yamdrok Lake, Gyatse city  & Karola Pass  Enjoy the view of different landscapes and culture en-route. Arrive Shigatse and overnight.

DAY 12:  RIDE TO SHEGAR( TINGRI) – (4300M, 240KM, 8 HRS)
Breakfast and Ride to Shegar ( Tigri )Enjoy the view of different landscapes and culture en-route. Arrive Shegar and overnight.

DAY 13:  RIDE TO KYIRONG TOWN VIA PAIKUTSO LAKE (2700M, 275KM, 8HRS)

Breakfast and Ride to Kyirong town via Paikutso Lake.

DAY 15: RIDE TO CHINA -NEPAL BORDER AND & FURTHER DRIVE TO KATHMANDU (185 km, 8 hours)

Breakfast and Ride to border (25 Kms, 1 hour ride). Complete Immigration formalities and further drive to Kathmandu (160 Kms, 7 hours ride). Arrive Kathmandu and check into hotel. Evening free for personal activities.

DAY 16:  FREE DAY IN KATHMANDU
Breakfast and handover bike to concerned person. Take a rest / take part in different sightseeing and activities. Evening farewell dinner at the typical Nepali Restaurant with cultural dance.

DAY 17:  FINAL DEPARTURE TRANSFER
Breakfast and timely transfer to international airport for onward flight with beautiful memories of scenic motorbike ride to Nepal and Tibet.

INFORMATION

Health Pre-caution: Oxygen is less at higher altitudes. The inclement weather and high altitude induces certain illnesses generally not encountered over the plains. Headache, nausea, lassitude, lethargy, breathlessness, general uneasiness (malaise), high irritability, light loss of balance, disorientation, incoherence and insomnia are to name among a few. It is common to all irrespective of age, sex and physical fitness. Gradual acclimatization is the best answer. Tranquilizers, sleeping dosages and strong antibiotics must be avoided. Some symptoms do indicate that the body mechanism is readjusting to new environment.

Route & climatic conditions: Once the voyage commences, the panoramic Himalaya and Tibet cocoon the travelers in their effulgence and they drift beyond the reach of a conventional world. Deep silence and eerie expansiveness rule the atmosphere. A resourceful travelers  however, would enjoy his every step – planning is the key. Route from Kathmandu to Tatopani/ Rasuwagadi (Timure) (Nepal-China border) is narrow and scary but from the border onward roads are well maintained are in International highway standard .  The high altitude Tibetan terrain is dry, cold and windy. Night is colder than day. Torrential rains, strong icy winds are common features. The average altitude is above 3,500 meters and the route covers many high altitude passes.

Required Documents:

  • Minimum of six months valid passport and two copies of passport size photographs.

Fitness: This is not a trek or expedition but a tour; therefore no specific level of fitness is required. Anybody can join this Tour if they think they are fit enough.  People suffering from cardiac or respiratory problems should consult to their doctor.

Food and Beverages: Nepali, Chinese, Tibetan & continental veg and non-veg food are available in all the places.

Communication: 5G network is available through the journey. If you subscribe roaming facilities in your country, you can use your phone throughout the trip. But what’s app, viber and Facebook will not work in China. Alternatively you can download Chinese apps wechat to communicate with your friend and family.  

Clothing and Necessities: As the temperature varies greatly between day and night (from max. 20 degrees Celsius to min. –16 degrees Celsius) one should prepare accordingly. However, we suggest all yatries to travel light – carrying maximum 10 to 15 Kg per person.
