Holy Mt Kailash Overland Tour via Kyrung is one of the economic and easy yatra program which require total 11 days including 10 nights stay, 2 nights stay at Syabrubesi and 8 nights stay at Tibet using hotel and guest house. The yatra is commenced toward Syabrubesi or Rasuwagadhi border and further proceed to Kyrung, Saga, Mansarovar and Darchen. The three days holy Mount Kailash parikrama start from Darchen and end at Darchen after crossing highest point of the holy trek 5,500 meter known as Dormala Pass. Fishtail Tours & Travel Nepal and NTB Treks Pvt Ltd invite you to join this yatra during upcoming 2024 season which is going to start from April and end at August.

OUTLINE ITINERARY:
Day 01: Drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi (1,550 M, 140 km, 8 hours’ drive).
Day 02: Drive from Syabrubesi to Kyrung (2,700 M, 55 Km, Approx 2 hours’ drive)
Day 03: Drive from Kyrung to Saga (4,640 meter, 105 km, 3/4 hours’ drive)
Day 04: Drive from Saga to Mansarovar (4,556 M, 410 km, 7/8 hours’ drive) and Puja
Day 05: Drive from Mansarovar to Darchen (4,664 M, 30 km, 1 hour drive)
Day 06: Drive to Yamadwar (8 kms) & Holy Trek to Dirapuk (4,765, 10 km 5/6 hours trek
Day 07: Holy Trek from Dirapuk to Zuthulpuk (4,700 M, 22 KM, 7-8 hours trek)

Day 16: Drive to Nepal / China friendship bridge (55 km, 1 hour drive ) and, complete
immigration formalities and further drive to Kathmandu (200 Kms, 8 hours’ drive)
DETAILED ITINERARY:
DAY 01: DRIVE TO SYABRUBESI (140 KM, 8 HRS DRIVE)
After breakfast drive to Syabrubesi (1,550m, 140 km, and 8 hrs drive). After arrival at Syabrubesi check into the hotel. Overnight stay at guesthouse or hotel at Syabrubesi.
DAY 02: DRIVE TO KYRUNG (55 KMS, 1HR DRIVE, 2,700 M)
After breakfast drive to Nepal China Friendship Bridge (20 km, 30 min drive). Complete Immigration formalities in Nepal side & walk approx. 15 mins to cross Friendship Bridge. Complete all China side immigration formalities & walk further ahead & get introduced with your Chinese guide/coach drivers. After introduction, proceed to Kyrung (2,700 M). Arrive in Kyrung. Overnight stay at hotel at Kyrung city.
DAY03: DRIVE TO SAGA (105KMS, 4640M, 4/5HRS DRIVE)
After breakfast drive to Saga (4,640 meter, 105 km, 4/5 hrs drive)/ New Dongpa (4,462 meter, 182 km, 5/6 hrs drive). On the way to Saga you will enjoy the beautiful waterfall & Tibetan landscape. After approx. 4/5 hours ‘drive you will reach to Saga (4,640 M). Arrive in Saga. Overnight stay at hotel at Saga.
DAY 04: DRIVE TO MANSAROVAR (410 KM, 7/8 HRS, 4,556 M DRIVE)
After breakfast, drive to Mansarovar (4,556 m, 410 km, 8 hours’ drive). Arrive Mansarovar, take a holy bath; perform Puja, Hawan, and Devtarpan etc. (self). Freshly cooked meals, tea/ coffee etc. will be served at the edge of Mansarovar Lake. Overnight stay at guesthouse at Manasarovar.
DAY 05: DRIVE TO DARCHEN (30 KM,1 HR DRIVE, 4,664 M)
Drive to Darchen (30 km, 30 mins drive, 4,664 M), en-route visit to Chuigumpa hot spring will be organized. Finally arrive in Darchen. Overnight stay at hotel at Darchen.
DAY 06: DRIVE TO YAMADWAR & HOLY TREK TO DIRAPUK (10 KM DRIVE & 6 HRS TREKS, 4,765 M)
With packed lunch box, drive to Tarboch Flag Pole -the first prostration point – an auspicious gateway & the sky burial ground. Visit Yamadwar & further drive to Sershong (8 km/10 mins drive), meet your porters/pony caretaker etc. & trek to Dirapuk (4,765 m, 10 km, 5/6 hrs trek). Arrive Dirpuk and have a darshn of North face of Holy Mount Kailash. Overnight stay at guesthouse at Dirapuk.
DAY 07: HOLY TREK TO ZUTHULPUK (5,585 M, 7 to 8 HOURS TREK)
Continue Parikrama over Droma La Pass (5,585m) to Zuthulpuk (4,700m, 22 km, 7-8 hrs trek). Overnight stay at guesthouse at Zuthulpuk.
DAY 08: HOLY TREK TO NEAR DARCHEN & DRIVE TO SAGA
Last and final day Kailash Parikrama ends near Darchen (4,664 m, 14 km, 3-4 hrs trek) and drive to Saga (4,640 m, 430 km, 7/8 hrs drive). Packed lunch will be served on the way. Overnight stay at hotel at Saga.
DAY 09: DRIVE FROM SAGA TO SHIGATSE (4,380 M, 460 KM, 8/9 HRS DRIVE)
Drive Saga to Shiigantse (460 Kms, 8 /9 hours’ drive). Arrive Shigatse and check into hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.
DAY 10: DRIVE FROM SHIGATSE TO LHASA (3,600 M, 290 KM, 5 HRS DRIVE)
Drive to Lhasa (3,600 meter, 290 km, 5/6 hours’ drive). Arrive Lhasa and check into hotel. Rest of the day is free to explore your own. Overnight stay at hotel.
DAY 11: LHASA CITY SIGHTSEEING
After breakfast leave for full day city sightseeing tour to Magnificent Potala Palace (From Outside only) -the winter palace of the Dalai Lama; the place where the former great Dalai Lama’s stupas are being kept; once the seat of the Tibetan government. With a history of over 1,300 years, the Potala Palace is the treasure of Tibetan religion and culture, storing plenty of figures of the Buddha, murals, sutras etc. After visiting Potala Palace, you will visit one of the three largest monasteries of Gelugpa- the Sera Monastery, and the Dalai Lama’s summer palace of the treasure Park of Tibet, the Norbulingka. Return to hotel and overnight stay at hotel.
DAY 12: FREE DAY IN LHASA
Today, you are free to explore Lhasa city on your own. Alternatively guide may plan your additional sightseeing with extra cost. Overnight stay at hotel.
DAY 13: LHASA SHIGATSE VIA GYANTSE
After breakfast, drive to Gyatse (260 Kms, 4 hours’ drive). En-route visit Holy Yamdrok Lake, Mt.NyechenKangsar glacier, GyantseKubum stupa and cross 3 high passes with altitude of 4794m, 5039m & 4280m. Arrive Gyatse, lunch and proceed to Shigatse (3,900 Meter- 90 Km). Finally arrive Shigatse and check into hotel. After get refreshed proceed to visit Palkor MonasteryandTashilhunpo Monastery. Return to hotel, dinner and overnight.
DAY 14: DRIVE TO RONGBUK MONASTERY
Breakfast fast and drive to Ronbuk Monastery (5009 meter, 343 Km, 7 hours’ drive). En-route enjoy the beautiful view of the Himalayas and Tibetan landscape). Arrive Ronbuk Monastery and overnight stay at hotel.
DAY15: VISIT EBC & DRIVE TO KYRUNG
After breakfast, visit Everest Base camp (12 km, 5350 meter), Enjoy the stunning view of Mt Everest and surrounding. Afterward drive to Kyrung (343 Km, 7 hours’ drive). Arrive Kyrung city and overnight stay at hotel.
DAY 16: DRIVE TO BORDER & DRIVE TO KATHMANDU (165 KMS, 8/9 HRS DRIVE)
Early morning, after breakfast drive to Nepal China- Friendship Bridge (55 Km and 1 hours’ drive). Complete China side Immigration formalities and proceed further to complete Nepal Side immigration formalities. After completion of immigration formalities, you will be driven to Kathmandu (165 Km, 8/9 hours’ drive). Dinner and overnight stay at hotel.
